Nancy Angulo Ferreyros Telles Nancy Angulo, age 48, was born and raised in Lima, Peru. She was educated in an all girl Catholic school administered by German nuns. Nancy first studied architecture but quickly decided that was not the career she wanted to pursue. Nancy married young and had three children who are now ages 27, 24 and 22. Once her children were in middle school, she decided to pursue a career in fine arts. She began by taking art education classes at various art institutes, and eventually enrolled in full time studies at the National School of Fine Arts in Lima, Peru. She completed six years of art studies at that institution and graduated with honors in 1999, finishing third overall in her graduating class. Nancy’s studies included development of skills in sketching/drawing, sculpture, engraving/printing, and oil painting. She found oil painting to be her most satisfying art form and became a full-time artist in that medium. Nancy’s early works in oil painting received awards and exposure at the Municipality of Lince, Lima; the Embassy of Colombia in Lima; the U.S. – Peruvian Cultural Institute, Lima; the Alianza Francesa, Lima; the Gallery of the Bank of Commerce, Lima; the National Museum of Peru; the 2V’s Gallery, Lima; the Cultural Institute of the National School of Fine Arts, Lima; the XIV Convention of Peruvian Institutes at the World Trade Center, New York; and at the Casa de Osambela, Lima, Peru.

Nancy remarried and moved to the U.S. in 2001. She is now living in Angel Fire, NM, where she has her art studio. Her husband, a retired Foreign Service officer, frames most of her paintings. Nancy prefers to paint in large formats, and enjoys doing animals, such as horses and birds, on abstract backgrounds. Most of her artwork is owned by private collectors in Peru and the U.S.
